IT DIES TODAY To Tour With SILVERSTEIN And AIDEN
August 23, 2006Buffalo, New York's IT DIES TODAY has announced that it will be heading out on tour this fall with SILVERSTEIN and AIDEN. IT DIES TODAY vocalist Nick Brooks says, "It is thrilling to think that we will be playing to kids who have probably never heard of us. This is such a different tour than what we usually do, we are exposing the album to a group of fans that are totally new."
The band just finished a summer long string of powerful tours, most recently Strhess tour alongside STILL REMAINS, SUFFOCATION, POISON THE WELL, and SHADOWS FALL. "While it was a nightmare as far as travel, with lots of van problems, the shows themselves were awesome," Nick says. "We became really good friends with the guys in SUFFOCATION, and STILL REMAINS and SHADOWS FALL have already been friends of ours."

As previously reported, IT DIES TODAY has made new music available from its upcoming album, "Sirens", which hits stores October 3 on Trustkill Records. The song "Sacre Coeur", named after a famous church in Paris which literally means "Sacred Heart", can be steamed online at this location. Nick Brooks says, "The song centers around the theme of marriage and infidelity. That's where the church comes in; I hopefully plan on proposing to someone there someday." A second track, "A Constant Reminder", is available via the band's MySpace page. "The title is pretty self explanatory," Brooks said about the second song. "It's a constant reminder of how much I disliked a certain person at the time; it's a pretty pissed off song."
"Sirens" is the highly anticipated follow-up to IT DIES TODAY's 2004 Trustkill debut, "The Caitiff Choir", which has sold more than 75,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielesen SoundScan. Produced by Gggarth Richardson (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHIN, RISE AGAINST, ATREYU),"Sirens" is described in a press release as "a deafending explosion of brutal heavy metal guitars, driving melodies and militant drum attacks." Brooks says, "The whole album has very dark overtones. It's everything that has changed in my life since the last album and I believe that thematically, everyone no matter who you are or your beliefs can relate to these issues."
